Black blazed (preferably wedge-blaze) variegated mice and black headspot/blaze broken-marked mice of any coat I love blazed mice! Klara from Iced mice has some lovely dutch mice that have very nice blazes.

I have numerous projects, one of which is rather large.
Project Purity is my new project that has just kick started. I aim to breed mice homozygous for their traits whilst eliminating any unnecessary colour recessives, markings and coat types, focusing on excellence in conformation, temperament, size, health and longevity and over time improving upon the colour and coat. It's a project that is going to take years, but I could not be more excited about a project! The lines within the project will be black, chocolate, blue, dove, lavender, black based albino, Siamese, coffee, sepia (Havana), agouti and fawn. I barely know of anyone breeding for pure colour lines, and many a time I see people struggling to identify a colour or source a particular trait to start their projects with. I'd love to be able to provide someone with mice to help them determine what it is their mice are expressing/carrying or be able to say 'why yes I do have some dove mice that could help with your project'.
Red/fawn/black tan/sable. I've been reading international fancier information on how they went about breeding A^y mice to produce red mice before recessive yellow even existed. I've also been reading about breeding sable mice and black tans (excluding the extreme non-agouti gene for ovbious reasons)and how to improve upon their colour. Breeders wanting to improve upon black tan mice bred fawns and selected those that expressed rich, deep pigmentation and paired them to black tans over time to achieve a more vibrant coloured tan mouse. Excellent black tans are used to breed to sable mice to improve upon the colour. From what I've read by breeding black tans to fawn sables, it improved the dark sabling on the mouse and the vibrant pigmentation of the tan belly helps improve the belly of the sables, as they are known to have a lighter colour on their tums. This group of mice also includes some Marten sables, I'm unsure if I wish to breed the c-dilutes out yet or not (the c-dilute sables are rather lovely <3)
Snow tigers. I love me a snow tiger and just had some rather lovely blue dilute ones freighted to me from Captain Ratz mischief in QLD ^-^ This is a smaller pet project that even Tim likes, and he is much more of a rat person than a mouse person.
Reverse Siamese. Again another smaller side project, I've fallen in love with these guys who are just lovely <3
All my lines focus on improving upon the health, size and temperament as well as conformation. As much as all my lines are colour lines this is still a secondary aspect to the aforementioned. Hopefully I'll update sometime next year as to how they're going.
Project Purity only just started off a few weeks ago and the first litters are due soon. I am so excited!

Project Purity is fantastic. It will be hard for the fancy here to move forward without someone or some people starting to purifying the colour lines and getting rid of the hidden recessives.

Fantastic idea Elly it's projects like this that will really move the mouse fancy in this country foreward. I am hoping to do a similar thing I am going to breed a line of blacks and siamese.

lots of breeders such as myself have been breeding blacks and Siamese over several years. Very few breeders concentrate on breeding pure colour ie blue to blue, chocolate to chocolate, black to black etc exclusively, so it's very exciting when a breeder does try to develop a pure colour line. Usually after a few generations it's hard to maintain the motivation because breeders get bored looking at the same thing all the time which is only natural and why it's good to have a few different projects going. So good luck with your project and I'm sure we'd all love to see pictures of the results further down the line.

That's okay, I think I can picture what you're talking about. They sound lovely! What a delicate color that must be.
