I have finally found my way onto this forum Lol. I've been meaning to join for a while. My name is Keish, I run a rattery in Brisbane called The 28th Rat 28rats.com . I did dabble in breeding mice earlier in 2013, but I decided to stop due to my living arrangements making things particularly difficult. Now I just have a tank of female mice in assorted colours and I enter them in QLD rat & mouse shows, and watch them instead of tv, cause they're so damn interesting. In 2014 I suspect that my life will be less hectic, so depending on how that goes... I might consider breeding a litter of Dove Tans here and there. As I've fallen in love with the variety. But baby steps for now. See you all around I guess. woo mice.

Hi Lakeisha! Nice to see you here. You had some stunning mice when you were breeding them. I know what you mean when you say a colony of does are interesting - I also love watching them go about their daily lives, especially when the enclosure has been cleaned and they busy themselves rearranging it to their liking.

I've just integrated my baby does and their moms with the rest of the girls. I now have five adult mice and fourteen babies charging gleefully around a 60L tank in all three directions. It's like a mousesplosion! Who needs TV.

Thanks for all the welcomes! I would like to do a proper photoshoot of my mice but I'm moving house ATM. Once I'm settled I'll definitely post a bunch of photos.

great to hear from you Keish. Do you still have your rats? Good to hear from you too! Yes of course I have my rats. I started a new line up in Brisbane in 2012, my site is 28rats.com . It's been really great having all the experience (or, learning from the many mistakes I made) in starting my new line, I really feel I'm making progress. Being a part of the shows up in QLD is what got me into mice
